About the Johnnies: St. John’s has won five of its last six games — including a big 68-63 road win Monday night against a Gustavus team that had beaten the Johnnies by 24 at home earlier in the season.

Sophomore wing Mitchell Kuck led the way with 21 points in 22 minutes off the bench. St. John’s is now in fifth place in the MIAC standings. Junior post Blake Maslonkowski ranks first in the MIAC in field goal percentage (67 percent).

About the Auggies: Augsburg beat the Johnnies 75-71 on Jan. 13 in Minneapolis. Senior center Dan Kornbaum, a Little Falls graduate, had 28 points and nine rebounds in that game.

He is averaging an MIAC-best 19.3 points per game and ranks second in the conference with an average of 7.7 rebounds per game. He is also shooting 66.8 percent from the field, ranking him second only to Maslonkowski.

The Auggies are coming off a 79-69 win over Concordia Monday in which Kornbaum had 23 points and seven rebounds.
