About the Johnnies: St. John’s has won three straight games, including an 81-60 victory over St. Mary’s on Saturday in Winona. It was the Johnnies’ first road victory of the season (they have one win on a neutral court). Senior wing Seth Marx had 19 points and seven rebounds.

It marked the fifth time in six games he has reached double figures. St. John’s enters play in sixth place, just ahead of seventh-place Hamline.

About the Pipers: Hamline defeated St. John’s 72-50 on Dec. 9 in St. Paul. The Pipers are coming off a 62-58 victory over Carleton Saturday. Junior Dior Ford led the way with 22 points.

He is averaging 17.5 points per game, which ranks him third in the MIAC. Head coach Jim Hayes — a former Hamline standout as a player — is in his first season as head coach at the school.
