End of what’s been a rough first quarter for St. John’s here at Clemens Stadium.

Concordia scored on its first two drives – first on a 35-yard touchdown catch by Jon Baune, then on a 1-yard run by Annandale graduate Cooper Gauldin.

The Cobbers had 171 yards of total offense in the first quarter. The Johnnies had just 60. Griffin Neal was 4 of 6 passing for 112 yards and a touchdown. The Cobbers rushed for 59 yards. St. John’s had just 17 yards on the ground.

Connor Bruns is 3 of 9 passing for 43 yards for St. John’s. Sam Sura has three carries for 9 yards. The Johnnies did drive to the C-24 on their second possession, but turned the ball over on downs
