It’s over in Collegeville as the Johnnies drop their fourth straight game, despite staging a comeback in the final minute that brought them within one point of the lead.
A basket by Mitchell Kuck made the score 68-67 with just under 13 seconds to play.
Brandon Fisher then went 1-2 at the free throw line to make the score 69-67. But Trevor Barth missed a shot at the other end for St. John’s. Ebo Nana-Kweson then hit a free throw for Concordia with just over a second to go and the Johnnies last-second heave was well short.
St. John’s took its only leads of the game at 32-31 and 34-33 early in the second half. But a 13-2 Concordia run helped the Cobbers pull away. Chris Neumann had 22 points to lead the Johnnies.
