Mexican folk and American indie rock fusion band David Wax Museum will play two shows at St. John’s University today and Friday.
On Thursday on Nov. 8, they’ll play a free short, acoustic set in front of the Stickworks Sculpture at 12:40 p.m., today at St. John’s Arboretum.
Then they’ll play at 8 p.m., Nov. 9 at Stephen B. Humphrey Theater at St. John’s. Tickets are $20, $17 seniors, $10 faculty, staff, students and youth, available at www.csbsju.edu/fine-arts or 363-5777.
The band has been getting lots of kudos for its catchy music, everywhere from NPR, Past Magazine and was named as one of the top ten acts of 2011 South by Southwest by Time Magazine.
