Do you create art as a catalyst for social change?

The Paramount Visual Arts Center has announced a call for art, inviting artists to contribute to a juried show to interpret the theme of “art as a catalyst for social change” in any medium. They’re asking for a short statement that will be included with the artwork in the show. The juror of the exhibit it Michael J. Strand, a North Dakota State University art professor who’s interest in the form, function and the space between objects and humanity. Find out more about him here: He gave a TEDx talk on that very subject. View it here:

Cost to submit is $10 for the first entry, $10 per additional entry, up to three total. Awards will be given at the Aug. 23 Art Crawl at the Paramount Theatre and Visual Arts Center.
