Though the American writer and humorist Twain is best known for “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” and “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” he also penned the travel book and memoir “Life on the Mississippi.”
The show is set in a home where Twain has invited guests to hear his stories.
This isn’t Shelby’s first acting stint — he recently finished a two-month run in “Rocky Horror Show” live in Minneapolis.
The show is part of a new series titled the Pioneer Place Playroom, where twice a year, the theater will bring in shows for limited runs designed to expose theatre-goers to more obscure and hard-to-find plays.
Tickets are $24, $21 students and seniors and $18 for current Pioneer Place season ticket holders, available at www.ppfive.com or 203-0331.
