Granite City Folk Society kicks off season with ‘folk explosion,’ 4 concerts in 8 days

The Granite City Folk Society is jump starting its fall season with what it’s calling a folk explosion, with four concerts in eight days. Each is at 7:30 p.m. at BoDiddley’s.

They are:

Friday, Sept. 13, TWIN, Canadian roots music, $10, part of Five & Dime Series.

Sunday, Sept. 15, Matt Mancuso and Patsy O’Brien, with Celtic music, $10, part of Five & Dime Series.

Wednesday, Sept. 18, Claudia Schmidt, folk jazz music, $18, part of the main series.

Friday, Sept. 20, Tim Sparks, guitar, $10, part of Five & Dime Series.

Tickets for Claudia Schmidt are available at the Downtown BoDiddley’s or by calling 255-9811. For the three Five & Dime Series shows, tickets are available at the door the night of the concert.
