Guthrie announces parent-friendly program

The Guthrie will soon provide an option for theatre-goers with children. Partnering with the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities, the organization announced Play Care, a program offering discounted adult theater tickets and affordable child car onsite during select Saturday matinees. Children will get an afternoon of movement and games developed, led and supervised by YMCA staff.

For $10 per child, the YMCA will provide child care in the Guthrie’s Learning Center for children age 4 to 11 while parents attend a matinee performance for $20-25.

Tickets go on sale noon, Feb. 8 and must be purchased in advance through the box office, in person, by phone at 612-377-2224.
