Minneapolis-based photographer Timothy Piotrowski will speak about the history of art phorography, in a program by the St. Cloud Friends of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. He will discuss the work of art photographers from their beginning to the present, as well as its relationship and influence on his own work.
In particular, he’ll discuss O.G.Rejlander, Julia Margaret Cameron, Lady Clementina Hawarden and Charles Dodgeson, also known as Lewis Carroll.
The event starts at 6 p.m., with a cash bar reception, 7 p.m. dinner and 8 p.m. program, on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Le-St. Germain Suites Hotel.
Cost is $25, R.S.V.P to 229-3929. Attendees are instructed to park as a hotel guest and have your ticket validated at the front desk. Dinner is roasted salmon, fennel fingerling potato ragout, lemon buerre blanc, garden salad, fresh vegetable, dinner rolls, coffee, and water.
