High school art show closing reception honors work of students

Visual Arts Minnesota will have its 33rd annual High School Art Show’s closing reception from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the St. Cloud Library.

The awards will be announced online and during the free reception. There will be $1,200 in prizes awarded.

The show features 125 pieces of artwork by students from area schools.

See the work 6 -9 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, April 19 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 20.

The Ellingson Award, provided by the American Association of University Women, was awarded to Sartell student Sienna Schroeder, for “Beijing Traffic,” a photograph. The St. Cloud Friends of the MIA provides the Best of Show award to Sartell student Katelyn Evenson for “Look at Yourself,” a 3D sculpture.
