NO. 12/13 ST. CLOUD STATE (12-5-1 WCHA, 15-10-1 OVERALL)

The Huskies are No. 9 in the PairWise Rankings going into Friday’s game with Bemidji State. St. Cloud State is 6-0-1 in its last 7 WCHA games and is one point ahead of Minnesota and Nebraska-Omaha for the conference lead in the standings.

There have been tweaks with the third and fourth lines and freshman Rasmus Reijola is the backup this weekend, replacing freshman Joe Phillippi. The third line will have Joey Benik and David Morley on the wings with Cory Thorson as the center. The fourth line will have Joey Rehkamp as the center with Garrett Milan and Brooks Bertsch on the wings. Benik and Morley were on the fourth line last weekend with Morley playing center. Bertsch moves from Thorson’s line to the fourth line. Milan played in Saturday’s game, but was a scratch in Friday’s game in the UND series. Rehkamp was a scratch in Saturday’s game against UND, but played wing in Friday’s game. Wing Joey Holka and defenseman Brandon Burrell are the healthy scratches.

BEMIDJI STATE (4-10-4 WCHA, 5-14-5 OVERALL)

Bemidji State is 0-6-2 in its last 8 games. The Beavers have shook up the lineup since Saturday’s lineup, which was what was in the paper today. The lines that are listed as the first and third lines were in tact on Saturday. On the second line listed, Brad Robbins replaces Danny Mattson on the right wing. Mattson is a scratch. On the fourth line listed, Markus Gerbrandt moves from right wing to left wing and Phil Brewer moves into the lineup on the right wing.

On defense, the top pairing remains intact. In the second pairing, Matt Prapavessis is paired with Graeme McCormack. On the third pairing, Sam Rendle is paired with Sam Windle. In Saturday’s game, Prapavessis was the left defenseman on the third pairing with James Hansen, who is a scratch; McCormack was the right defenseman with Rendle. Windle was a scratch in that game. Add Windle to the lineup after being a scratch on Saturday.

About Mick Hatten

I cover St. Cloud State hockey and I am a general assignment reporter for the sports department at the Times. 2012-13 was my third season covering the Huskies hockey programs. My wife Kristin and I have two boys (Luke, 5, and Josh, 3) and we live in St. Cloud. I have had two stints working at the Times. I worked here from 1986-91 as a part-time sports reporter and intern. I have been back since Aug. 1999. I spent one year as the prep sports coordinator, six years as the St. Cloud State reporter (football, men's and women's basketball and everything else but hockey) and spent four years as the Citizen Times editor. The last two years, I was also the editor of the Rocori Times and Sauk Rapids-Rice Times sections, which are mailed directly to people in those two school districts. Follow me on Twitter at https://twitter.com/MickHatten or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/sctimesmick. I do online chats about college hockey during the season from 1-2 p.m. Thursdays at www.sctimes.com.
