SCSULines for No. 3/4 SCSU (7-2-2-0 NCHC, 12-3-4 overall)

Freshman Ben Storm is not in the lineup tonight. Thought that might be the case. Storm was the St. Cloud State player who was blasted into the boards by Western Michigan’s Kyle Novak in the third period last night. Novak was given a checking from behind major and a game misconduct at 6:11. I did not see Storm return to the ice. Will try to get an update on him tonight.

The tinkering of the lines continues. Junior Joey Holka, who was the right wing on Nic Dowd’s line last night, is a healthy scratch tonight. He is replaced by sophomore David Morley. Morley was the center on the second line last night.

Freshman Ryan Papa moves up to the second line that has sophomore Kalle Kossila at center and Jonny Brodzinski on the right wing. He replaces senior Cory Thorson on that line.

Thorson moves back to center on the third line with Garrett Milan and Brooks Bertsch on the wings. Milan was a healthy scratch last night. Bertsch was on a line with junior left wing Nick Oliver and junior center Joey Rehkamp last night.

The fourth line is quite interesting. Redshirt freshman walk-on T.J. Belisle is on the left wing with Oliver at center and Rehkamp on the right wing. This is Belisle’s second regular season game.

Freshman Daniel Tedesco is the wing being replaced in the lineup by Milan. Tedesco is a healthy scratch.

For the first time in a while, juniors Tim Daly and Jarrod Rabey are in the lineup on the same night on defense. Daly will be senior Kevin Gravel’s defensive partner; Rabey is freshman Niklas Nevalainen’s defensive partner.

About Mick Hatten

I cover St. Cloud State hockey and I am a general assignment reporter for the sports department at the Times. 2012-13 was my third season covering the Huskies hockey programs. My wife Kristin and I have two boys (Luke, 5, and Josh, 3) and we live in St. Cloud. I have had two stints working at the Times. I worked here from 1986-91 as a part-time sports reporter and intern. I have been back since Aug. 1999. I spent one year as the prep sports coordinator, six years as the St. Cloud State reporter (football, men's and women's basketball and everything else but hockey) and spent four years as the Citizen Times editor. The last two years, I was also the editor of the Rocori Times and Sauk Rapids-Rice Times sections, which are mailed directly to people in those two school districts. Follow me on Twitter at https://twitter.com/MickHatten or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/sctimesmick. I do online chats about college hockey during the season from 1-2 p.m. Thursdays at www.sctimes.com.
