Local politcians, superintendent to make cameos in musical

The GREAT Theatre Company production of “Hairspray” will have some special cameo appearances by local politicians and a superintendent, according to a Sept. 5 news release from the group. Seven will make an appearance as the principal of Paterson Park High School. The popular music, set in the ’60s, surrounds a dance show and one teen’s mission to get on it.

Dist. 742 Superintendent Bruce Watkins, 7:30 p.m., Sept. 7, 2 p.m., Sept. 9.
Tarryl Clark, (DFL), who formerly ran for Congress, 2 p.m., Sept. 8.
Rep. Steve Gottwalt, (R), running for Minnesota House, 7:30 p.m., Sept. 8.
Jerry McCarter, (DFL), running for Minnesota Senate, 7:30 p.m., Sept. 14.
Anne Nolan, who pulled out of a run for Congress earlier this year, 2 p.m., Sept. 15.
Rep. King Banaian, (R), running for Minnesota House, 7:30 p.m., Sept. 15.
St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis, running for mayor unopposed, 2 p.m. Sept. 16.
