Moro named NSIC defensive player of week

St. Cloud State junior cornerback Jack Moro was named the NSIC defensive player of the week on Monday after coming up with three interceptions in the Huskies’ 24-19 win at Wayne State (Neb.) Saturday.

The Brookfield, Wis., native returned the first pick 17 yards for a touchdown for his first collegiate touchdown. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder’s other two interceptions stopped two fourth-quarter drives by the Wildcats. Moro has four picks this season and seven for his career. He also had three tackles and a pass break-up in the win.
