Hart named NSIC swimmer of the week

St. Cloud State freshman swimmer Erin Hart was named the NSIC swimmer of the week Tuesday.

The Jamestown, N.D., native came away with three first-place finishesd at a dual against Division I South Dakota State last weekend.

Hart was part of the winning 400 yard medley relay alongside Stephanie Crandall, Kellyn Craig and Ali Domeier. The Huskies won the relay with a final time of 4:01.72.

Hart also took first in the 100 backstroke (1:01.58) and the 200 backstroke (2:13.92).

O’Grady named NSIC wrestler of the week

St. Cloud State senior wrestler Shamus O’Grady was named the NSIC wrestler of the week on Monday.

O’Grady, who is ranked No. 2 at 184 pounds, went 3-0 at the Wisconsin-Parkside Ranger Duals over the weekend. He’s 26-1 on the season. He also earned a win over MSU-Moorhead’s Matt Lewellen last Thursday in an NSIC dual.

O’Grady helped the No. 1-ranked Huskies improve to 2-0 in NSIC duals this season, 15-0 overall.

Imholte, Crandall receive NSIC awards

St. Cloud State baseball player Phil Imholte and women’s swimmer Stephanie Crandall received the NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction awards this week.

The honor, named for the late NCAA President, is bestowed to senior NSIC student-athletes who have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher, are exhausting their eligibility and are on track to graduate.

Each student-athlete will be recognized by the NSIC with a certificate of achievement and a wrist watch.
