SCSU men’s basketball ranked 4th in Central Region

The St. Cloud State men’s basketball team was ranked fourth in the first Central Region poll of the season that was released Wednesday.

The top eight teams in the final rankings qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Winona State was ranked No. 1, MSU-Mankato second and Augustana third. The NSIC had the top four teams in the region.

Harding of the Great American Conference (GAC) was ranked fifth, Central Missouri of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) was sixth, Arkansas Tech of the GAC  was seventh and Fort Hays State of the GAC was eighth. The region includes the NSIC, GAC and MIAA.

The NCAA D-II men’s basketball selection show is set for 9:30 p.m. on March 10.
