The St. John’s football team was back on the field at Clemens Stadium Thursday afternoon for the second day of practice for the 2013 season.
And Johnnies sophomore cornerback Trevor Warner said a lot has been accomplished, even in the first two days.
“The second day was a lot more high-tempo,” Warner said. “Things were even faster than practice yesterday. Everybody was getting after it and flying around, especially on the defensive side of the ball.”
The team will practice again at 2:30 p.m. Friday, following the annual St. John’s Football Kick-Off banquet scheduled to get underway at noon in the PepsiCo Dining Room of Sexton Commons.
And speaking of the banquet, head coach Gary Fasching did not offer a sneak peek at his remarks Thursday.
“I haven’t really thought about it all,” Fasching said. “We’ve been so busy here. I’m sure I’ll just talk about what we’ve been doing the past couple days and what we did last spring.”
