Another practice for the St. John’s football team Thursday as the Johnnies continue to get ready for Bethel in the season finale Saturday in Arden Hills.
As we reported earlier in the week, junior Connor Bruns will start at quarterback with freshman Nick Martin in a walking boot with a high-ankle sprain.
Junior running back Nick Schneider has not been able to return from the groin injury he suffered against Carleton on Oct. 13 and he will again miss Saturday’s season finale. Junior Colin Moynihan will again start in his place.
Defensively, senior defensive end Connor Grill has practiced with a cast on his fractured right hand. He is expected to play in what will be the final game of his collegiate career. Senior safety Ian Goldsmith – who has been playing in a reserve role – has an ankle injury and he will be a game-time decision.
