SJU football Thursday update

The Johnnies were back at practice this afternoon at Clemens Stadium.

The team is relatively healthy heading into Saturday’s big nonconference matchup at Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Junior running back Nick Schneider, who sat out practice earlier in the week because of hamstring cramping, was back Thursday.

Classmate Colin Moynihan – the subject of Friday’s weekly SJU feature story (check it out online after 12:30 a.m.) – tried to practice Thursday, but was limited after bruising a knee Wednesday. He said he could have played, however, if the game was Thursday and expects to be ready to go Saturday.

For the Blugolds, senior starting linebacker Nick Slade is a graduate of St. Cloud Tech.
