Let Tommies week begin.
The St. John’s football team was back at practice on a warm afternoon at Clemens Stadium today.
The only significant injury coming out of last Saturday’s 31-28 win at Wisconsin-Eau Claire was starting offensive tackle Pete Schwarz. The junior seperated his shoulder against the Blugolds, but the word Tuesday is that the injury was not as serious as first thought.
Schwarz said the diagnosis was a grade 2 seperation and it’s possible he could be back in two to three weeks.
But he will miss Saturday’s game against the Tommies.
I’ll have a catch-all story up on the main sports page later tonight regarding traffic, parking and crowd-related matters pertaining to Saturday’s game. And check me out on Twitter at @rajko1973 to hear from DE Connor Grill after practice today.
