It’s over at Claire Lynch Hall and St. Benedict pulls away down the stretch to down Bethel in a game that the Royals turned into a dogfight.
Bethel cut the gap to 43-41 in the second half before the Blazers went on an 11-2 run to go up 54-43. But the Royals hung around, cutting the lead back to single digits again on a pair of 3-pointers late.
Brianna Barrett led St. Benedict with 18 points. Tish Alexander had 14 points, including 4 3-pointers.
In Arden Hills, very late in the second half, Bethel leads St. John’s 81-55 in a game the Johnnies have never really been in.
