St. John’s 32, Wisconsin-River Falls 32 (H)

Halftime in Collegeville where Wisconsin-River Falls guard Grant Erickson just missed a pair of free throws with no time left on the clock that would have given the Falcons a two-point lead heading into the locker rooms.

As it stands, the game is tied, despite the fact that the Johnnies had led by as much as six on two occasions in the first half before River Falls roared back – taking a two-point lead twice in the final minutes before a pair of free throws by Kevin McKenzie tied the score.

Nick Meyer had 11 points to lead St. John’s in the first half. No one else had more than five points. Post Blake Maslonkowski was limited to just four minutes of action because of two first-half fouls.

Ollie White led Wisconsin-River Falls with 10 points. Ben Gresmer and Devin Buckley each had six.

The Johnnies finished 11-for-26 (42.3 percent) from the field but were just 1-for-7 from 3-point range. The Falcons were 13-for-30 (43.3 percent) from the field and 3-for-10 from beyond the arc.

St. John’s held a 19-15 edge in rebounds, but had six turnovers compared to four by the Falcons.

The Johnnies were 9-for-12 at the free throw line. Wisconsin-River Falls was just 3-for-7.
