About the Johnnies: St. John’s is looking to rebound from an 86-59 loss at Bethel Wednesday. The Johnnies begin a week that will see them face the top three teams in the MIAC, beginning with second-place Augsburg tonight. St. John’s then plays host to third-place Concordia Wednesday before traveling to St. Paul to face league-leading St. Thomas Saturday. Junior Seth Marx leads St. John’s with an average of 11.6 points per game.

About the Auggies: Augsburg suffered its first loss of the season when the Auggies fell 94-52 on the road at St. Thomas Saturday. Freshman Brett Rasmussen had 13 points —  marking his fourth straight game in double figures. But Augsburg shot a season-low 35.3 percent from the field as a team. Junior center Dan Kornbaum, a Little Falls graduate, ranks eighth in the MIAC in scoring with an average of 16.2 points per game and second in rebounding with an average of 8.8 per game.
