St. Thomas leads MIAC all-sport standings

St. Thomas leads both the MIAC’s men’s and women’s all-sport standings after the winter season. Schools are awarded points based on their team’s finish in the conference in a given sport.

St. John’s is second in the men’s competition and St. Benedict is in third place in the women’s standings.

On the men’s side, St. Thomas claimed outright MIAC championships in basketball and indoor track and field during the winter season, and shared the hockey title with Saint John’s. The Tommies women claimed a title in indoor track and field and were second in swimming and diving and hockey while tying for second in basketball.

The complete standings following the winter season are as follows:

Men — 1. St. Thomas 73.5; 2. St. John’s 54.5; 3. St. Olaf 54; 4. Gustavus 48; 5. Bethel and Concordia 42.5; 7. Carleton 39.5; 8. Augsburg 33.5; 9. Hamline 24; 10. St. Mary’s 19; 11. Macalester 14.

Women — 1. St. Thomas 77; 2. St. Olaf 73; 3. St. Benedict 64.5; 4. Gustavus 64; 5. Concordia 63.5; 6. Carleton 50; 7. Bethel 36; 8. Augsburg 34.5; 9. Macalester 30.5; 10. Hamline 30; 11. St. Catherine and St. Mary’s 27.
